Our RBT 40-Hour Training
The Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT) training program covers the tasks in the Registered Behavior Technician Task List (2nd ed.), includes 3 hours on the RBT Ethics Code 2.0, and 1 hour on supervision. This training has been designed to meet the 40-hour training requirement for the RBT certificate. The program is offered independent of the BACB.
Registered Behavior Technician
The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT®) is a paraprofessional certified in behavior analysis. RBTs assist in delivering behavior-analytic services and practice under the direction and close supervision of an RBT Supervisor and/or an RBT Requirements Coordinator, who are responsible for all work RBTs perform.
Become a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT®)
To obtain the RBT credential through the BACBA®, the following steps must be completed
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Pass a criminal background check to be completed within 180 days of the RBT application
- Complete the 40-hour RBT training course (This is what we provide)
- Complete the RBT competency assessment conducted by Responsible or Assistant Assessor.
- Apply (and pay the application fee) for the RBT credential. If the BACB accepts your application, you will be able to register to take the RBT exam at a Pearson center.
